About Credo

This is an information guide and tutorial for Credo Reference Database.  Credo is a source for reliable background information you can use to start your research. The database offers over 700 dictionaries, encyclopedias, and online reference sources including subject guides and links to related resources in the Luther Rice Library’s other databases.

The Library has more reference books on your research topic that are not in Credo Reference.  Please contact the Luther Rice library as well when wanting to find reference materials.

  • Credo eBooks can be read instantly within any Internet browser. 
  • No separate app required.
  • Credo books are not downloadable in their entirety to read off-line.
  • Printing is generally limited to one section/chapter.
  • Sections/chapters can be emailed, saved as a PDF or printed.
  • To print, first click the PDF button in the upper right and save the PDF to your computer. Then print the PDF.
